The Böker Scout has been firmly associated with our name since 1985. No one can say today whether anyone would have expected at the time that the pocket knife would become one of the most successful and popular knives in our range. But these many years are definitely a special feature in times of short-lived fads, which are also not uncommon in the knife market. The variants of the Scout were probably more numerous at this time than of almost any other model, but nothing was changed in the key data.

The Boker Boy Scout breaks with this tradition and offers a smaller, more pocket-friendly version with the same construction, which shows its strengths above all as a compact companion in everyday life. With a significantly reduced blade length, the Boy Scout is also much flatter, but is just as robust and durable as its big brother. To increase precision, the nickel silver shells are CNC -manufactured. The hollow-ground blade made of stainless N690 contributes to the incomparable appearance of the Scout with its memorable shape. A classic backlock takes over the locking and keeps the blade securely open.

The mechanism hidden inside the handle consists of a rocker bolt and a spring. When the blade is folded out, the rocker bolt engages in a recess in the blade, thereby locking it in place. The rear end of the bolt rocker is not completely covered by the grip, but is partially exposed due to a small cut-out on the back of the grip, so that it can be operated. If the exposed rear end of the bolt rocker is now pressed, the hook lifts out of the notch, so that the lock is released and the blade can be folded. The pleasantly shaped handle scales made from real mammoth teeth complete the harmonious picture of the classic.

A special feature of mammoth teeth as a material is that they show significant discoloration due to storage in the ice for tens of thousands of years, which varies greatly from tooth to tooth and gives each specimen a very individual appearance. The discoloration was caused by cracks in the outer cortex of the tooth. Through these cracks, water and other substances got inside the tooth and formed mineral deposits that discolored the mammoth's tooth. With certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.
